Wow is it hot today. A good day to hide in the air conditioning or at the pool.
The Ann Arbor City Parks Pools are open today. Fuller Park opens at 1p. Buhr and Veterans Memorial do not open until 3:30p today. Full-day operation will begin Friday, June 17.
Pool admission is $4/adults, $3.50 for children ages 4-17 or seniors. Admission is free for children 3 and under. Summer passes are available for families or individuals with city residents receiving a discounted price. A family pass is $265/$325 (up to 2 adults and 3 children). Adult passes are $140/$175 and youth/senior passes are $110/$135.
The parks department will extend the pool hours until 9p on days where weather.com is reporting a temperature of 85 degrees or more at 6p.
We have a pool in our neighborhood, so we tend to go there unless we are meeting friends. We have done Tot Splash at Buhr Park for several years and my daughter loves it. She also did swim lessons at Vets last year.
I was hoping to do lessons at one of the city pools again, but just checked the schedule and most do not fit our schedule very well. The classes are either Monday-Thursday for two weeks or twice a week for 4 weeks. All of the sessions conflict with our vacation to visit family this month or one of the 3 weeks of morning camp that my daughter is signed up for.
