They suggest bringing a blanket as the event is being held on the sledding hill and chairs will not work well. I also suggest bringing bug spray so you don't get eaten alive.
When I moved to Michigan, it took me awhile to get used to how late it stays light compared to the east coast. When we were out visiting last week, I definitely noticed it getting dark earlier. Most of the time I enjoy the extra light, however outdoor movies and fireworks are times I wish it got dark earlier.
