Saline Fair Preschool Day Today!

Watching Wool Spinning
Saline Fair started Tuesday and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 5. This is a week earlier than it has been in past years. They are also using a new carnival company this year, Elliott's Amusements. My daughter enjoys seeing the animals, doing the crafts, and riding the rides.

Daily Admission is $7 for adults. Children 10 and under are admitted free. A season pass can be purchased for $25. Ride Wristbands are $18. They have a coupon on their website for $2 off ride wristbands on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday.

Hands On Museum Activities 2009
Thursday will still be Preschool/Children's Day. Admission until 2p is $5 and includes the kids rides and carousel from 11a-2p. In addition the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum and Cirque Amongus will have kids activities starting at 9:30a. Children's music group Gemini will be performing at 1p. There will be a children's pedal tractor pull at 2:30p.

Tractor Pull in 2009
We have attended Preschool Day the last two years and had a great time. In the past the fair was the first week of school so only children in preschool or under were able to attend. Since my daughter starts kindergarten this year, I am glad the fair is a week earlier and  we can still attend. She loves some of the hands on activities, exploring the animal exhibits, and then enjoying the rides. We have had lunch at the fair and then stayed for the pedal pull. At 3, she needed help to make it the full length. Last year, she had no problems although she didn't win her age group.

Friday is Ladies Day and women are admitted for $5 until 1p.

Saturday is the parade in downtown Saline at noon. We love this parade. There are lots of great local groups and we always get a lot of fun Last year we got a ton of candy because it started raining right before the end and everyone was running for cover. The firemen had just started the parade and had tons of candy.

Enjoy the fair.
