Sunday, September 11 is a Ford FREE Fun Day at the Detroit Science Center. Admission to most exhibits are included. There is an extra charge for the Dinosaurs Unearthed Exhibit, Planetarium Show, and IMAX Movies. They are $5 for one extra, $8 for two extras, or $10 for all three. The museum is open from noon-6p.
If you have not seen Dinosaurs Unearthed, this would be a very inexpensive way to do it. The Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit is only at the museum through September 25, so you may want to plan your visit soon. We visited Dinosaurs Unearthed in March and my daughter and her friend were in heaven - they both love dinosaurs. If we did not have a prior commitment for Sunday I would plan to take her to see the dinosaurs again.
The topic of the Ford FREE Fun Day is Genes are Grand and they will be celebrating Grandparents. There will be special genetics exhibits and activities as well as nutrition kitchen demonstrations.
While the museum does have a food stand, I was not that impressed with the food and recommend eating before heading to the museum.
