On Saturday, September 24 kids can head to Lowe's to build their own firetruck complete with siren as part of their Lowe's Build and Grow series. The event is at 10a and is free for kids ages 5 and up.
Unfortunately the event is already full for both the Jackson Rd and Carpenter Rd locations. You can still sign up for the event in Lyon township or Southfield township. If you want to do this project, you can purchase the fire truck kit online to build at home. The website shows the local stores being out of stock on this kit for in store pickup.
On October 8, they will have a Monster Machine project. This event also starts at 10a. It looks like a fun start to Halloween celebrations. You can sign up now and it is still available at the Carpenter Rd and Jackson Rd locations as well as locations a little further from Ann Arbor.
I suggest signing up online now if you are interested in attending at your preferred location.
Lowe's Build and Grow events are FREE! In addition to the project, all attendees receive an apron, safety goggles, a project themed patch, and a certificate of merit.
