On Saturday, September 22, Barnes & Noble in Huron Village Shopping Center will be hosting the Children's Literacy Network Book Fair from 10:30a-3p. There will be a series of events going on throughout the day.
Starting at 10:30a, members of the Family Book Club will be on hand to talk about their programs and to announce the changing of their name to the Children's Literacy Network. They will also be available from 12:15-1p and from 2-3p. They will be able to help pick out age appropriate books.
There will be a celebration of Spanish Heritage with a bilingual Spanish/English Story Time at 11a. This story time will be geared for ages 3-5.
Award Winning Storyteller Laura Pershin Raynor will be entertaining the kids at 11:30a. Laura Pershin Raynor is a children's librarian at the Ann Arbor District Library. Her performance is geared for kids ages 3-8.
At 1p, LaRon Williams, a nationally acclaimed story teller, will be performing. We had the opportunity to see LaRon Williams last summer and definitely enjoyed his performance. His performance will be geared towards kids ages 6-12.
From 2-3p, there will be Face Painting and Storybook characters will be reading to kids.
This event definitely sounds fun. Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 22.
