New Year’s Crafts at AADL

The Ann Arbor District Library will Bring in the New Year on Tuesday, December 31 from 2-3p at the Pittsfield Branch.

Kids from preschool through 5th grade can create their own New Year’s hats and noise makers.

I have never attended their New Year’s craft celebrations, but we have attended many of the holiday celebrations including the Fourth of July craft celebration at the Pittsfield Branch. My daughter loves the crafts. It was particularly nice this past summer when as a 2nd grader she was able to do the craft with minimal supervision and I did not need to be at the table to help her. It made it much easier to find a table as they were crowded.

The Pittsfield Branch is located at 2359 Oak Valley Dr in Ann Arbor.

The Library will also celebrate New Year Nonsense on Friday, January 3 from 2-2:45p at the Downtown Branch. New Year Nonsense is for kids in preschool through 3rd grade. Musician Rosalie Koenig and storyteller Laura Pershin Raynor will tell tales to entertain the family.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
