Predators and Prey Series with UM Natural History Museum

With Dino Fossil at UMNH Museum

Each year the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History hosts a series of family workshops about science, typically related to the work they do at the museum. The 2014 theme is Predators and Prey: The Eternal Struggle. All workshops are geared towards kids ages 6-11.

Each workshop will be held both at the museum and at various local libraries in southeast Michigan. I’ve highlighted several programs near Ann Arbor, but there are programs at many other libraries throughout Southeast Michigan.

The first session is Dining on Dinos: Long necks, sharp teeth, club tails, killer claws. In the session they will cover what fossils teach about the lives and coping strategies of predators and prey.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
