Mid-Winter Break Wrap-up Weekend Roundup

This weekend marks the end of the Ann Arbor schools mid-winter break. I have to admit, I have been very jealous of the vacation pictures many of my friends have posted on Facebook this week (particularly with the snow on Monday night and again on Thursday). We had a very busy week with things scheduled everyday, so I am looking forward to a more normal schedule next week when my daughter returns to school.

I plan to enjoy this weekend after several busy weekends and a busy week. The only think on our calendar for this weekend is a Girl Scout cookie booth on Sunday (fortunately I remember at 3p that I had to pick up cookies this afternoon).

This weekend there are a number of fun activities. The Ann Arbor Hands on Museum continues their ScienceFest: MAKING STUFF that was running all week. For more science activities, check out Science Fun with FEMMES at the Traverwood Branch of AADL. The library has number of other events, including a number for teens such as Mario Kart and Decoupage Boxes & Vases.

If you were like us and didn’t have a chance to escape the winter weather, there are two swimming options this weekend. Goldfish Swim School has partnered with Peachy Fitness for Namasplash on Saturday while Mack Pool has Sunday Splash Day on Sunday.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
