FREE Bowling All Summer Long
As you are starting to map out your child’s summer, beyond summer camps you may want to start thinking about activities to do on days the kids aren’t in camp.
On KidsBowlFree.com you can register for FREE bowling over the summer. Each child can bowl 2 games/day. My daughter loves bowling, so the Kids Bowl Free promotion is a great opportunity for us.
Participating local bowling alleys in Ann Arbor are:
- Colonial Lanes at 1950 S. Industrial. Bowling hours are from 11a-5p on Mondays through Friday and noon-5p on Sundays.
- Bel-Mark Lanes at 3530 Jackson Rd. Bowling hours are from open-6p on Mondays through Thursdays and open-5p on Fridays-Sundays.
Both bowling alleys offer free bowling for kids up to age 15. Bowling shoes are required and are additional at the regular rental cost. I have already registered my daughter. Free games start on May 1 and run through August 31 at Colonial Lanes and September 1 at Bel-Mark Lanes. Unfortunately, it appears that you can only register for one location, so you will have to pick which one works best for you.
There are also bowling alleys around Michigan (as well as other states). Other locations include Chelsea, Canton, and Belleville. In the past we have been bowling in Saline, but the Saline alley is not participating.
You can also add a family pass ($24.95 at Colonial Lanes) to allow up to 4 parents, older siblings, etc to bowl with the kids. Now that my daughter is older, I would probably take her bowling with friends and skip bowling myself, so I didn’t add the family pass.
