Wondering What To Do Over Spring Break? Here’s a Listing

Are you spending spring break at home and wondering what to do in the Ann Arbor area? Maybe you are visiting Ann Arbor for Spring Break. Either way, there are tons of fun activities in Ann Arbor during spring break.

If you have little ones, be aware that there will be more “big kids” around at your favorite playgrounds, the library, and play spaces. there are still a few activities that are focused on younger children. Xtreme Bounce Zone is continuing their Toddler Take Over from 10a-1p on Tuesday and Thursday for kids 5 and under. Nicola’s Books has Preschool Storytime on Tuesday.

After a rainy Monday, temperatures are rising and dry conditions are forecast, so outdoor activities are a great choice.

A few events during the week that I want to highlight are the Girl Scout Heart of Michigan Fund Raiser at Buffalo Wild Wings in Ypsilanti. If you are in town, please consider helping out Girl Scouts. My daughter has been a Girl Scout for 3 years and I have been very impressed with their programs and facilities. My daughter has been camping at Camp Linden several times with her troop and has also enjoyed Girl Scout day camp in the past. She is looking forward to more summer camps and troop camp outs in the future.

Xtreme Bounce Zone has special Spring Break Hours and even the Easter Bunny is visiting Briarwood Mall for extra hours during spring break week.

There are Free Crafts at Learning Express, Log Rolling Classes at Mack Pool, Movies & Special Events at the Ypsilanti Library, several events at the Ann Arbor District Library, Design-Build-Test-Deconstruct Pop-Up Makerspace at Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, and Make Way for Spring Programs at Matthei Botanical Gardens.

If you are interested in a movie, older kids should enjoy Captain America. We have not yet had a chance to see it, but my daughter has enjoyed all of the other movies in the Avengers series. There are also Muppets Most Wanted, Mr Peabody & Sherman, and The Lego Movie. On Friday, Rio 2 is released. My daughter loved the first movie and is looking forward to the sequel.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
