Ann Arbor Fourth of July Parade – Info & T-Shirt Decorating Contest

We love the Ann Arbor Jaycees 4th of July Parade. We have participated in the parade each year since 2009 when my daughter was 3. My daughter is already looking forward to participating again this year.

The 2014 Ann Arbor 4th of July parade will be held at 10a on Friday, July 4 beginning at the corner of S. State St and E. William St. Ann Arbor children are invited to join in the bike decorating contest and ride in the parade.

The Ann Arbor Jaycees are also holding a contest to design their t-shirts for the parade.  The information is on the flyer below:

The announcement below includes information on the theme:

Join the Ann Arbor Jaycees on Friday July 4, 2014 as they host the 24th Annual Fourth of July parade. Beginning at 10am at the corner of S. State and E. William St, the parade travels through downtown Ann Arbor. The parade will feature floats, musical groups, walking groups, and many others celebrating this year’s theme – “The Heartbeat of America”.

All Ann Arbor children 12 and younger are invited to join in the Bike Decorating Contest to be judged at 9:30 am and then ride their bikes in the parade. We are still looking for Sponsors interested in supporting the operating expenses of this annual event with financial or in-kind donations. Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
