Barnes & Noble Ann Arbor’s Upcoming Events

The Ann Arbor Barnes & Noble location is located in Huron Village Shopping Center. They have frequently hold story times and other fun activities for kids (and also some informational events for adults).

On Saturday, May 31 they will hold Spanish Charades for Kids at 11a. There is no description provided so I am not sure whether this event is intended primarily for Spanish speakers or as an introduction to Spanish.

They will have a special The Very Hungry Caterpillar Story Time on Wednesday, June 4 at 11a. The Very Hungry Caterpillar was a favorite of my daughter’s from the time she was 9 months old. She was able to find it on the library shelves every time we went. She would get upset every time I put it back on the shelf (often times I already had a copy checked out). After a few months, we finally got her a copy to keep.

On Saturday, June 7 University of Michigan Author Robert Omilian will be signing his book No Fear, No Doubt, No Regret: Investing in Life’s Challenges Like a Warrior. The book is a retrospective on parenting choices and mistakes with advice on being a Warrior Parent.

Father’s Day Storytime will be on Saturday, June14 at 11a. The Story Time will feature the book Mighty Dads and will include activities and a card-making craft.

On Saturday, June 21 they will have a Physics of Toys Workshop at 11a. During the event (for ages 7 and up), kids will learn about physics as they build a race car.

They will hold a Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed Storytime on Tuesday, June 24 at 11a. The story time will include the story and other activities (hopefully not jumping on actual beds).

Barnes & Noble Ann Arbor is located at 3235 Washtenaw Ave in Huron Village Shopping Center.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
