LEGO Movie Now Available on Digital
In case you haven’t noticed, we are huge LEGO fans in our house. Saturday night we watched the LEGO Movie. My daughter and I had seen it in the theater and loved it, but it was my husband’s first viewing. My daughter love the movie as much the second (and third and fourth) time as she did the first time. I think she has noticed even more details that she missed the first time through.
Disclaimer: I am compensated for sales through iTunes and Amazon links. I appreciate your support of my blog by shopping through my links.
The movie is currently available as and advance release in digital format – iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon Instant Video. We bought the iTunes version and watched it on our Apple TV. Since purchasing the movie, my daughter has watched it additional times on her iPod and iPad.
I am becoming a big fan of having the movies in digital format. I find it much easier to stream movies via AppleTV or Amazon Instant Video on our TVs. They are also portable and my daughter can watch them on the go over and over again. Even at home she rarely asks to play a BluRay/DVD. Plus, I don’t have to find a place to store the physical copy. My only complaint with the iTunes digital copy is that the iTunes Extras are only available to watch on a computer. I wouldn’t mind not being able to watch them on my iPhone or iPad, but I would like to be able to watch them on the AppleTV.
In the past I have frequently pre-ordered movies on Amazon well in advance of their release date. However, I have noticed that they do not currently have the physical copy of The LEGO Movie available for purchase. The Amazon page for the Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet Combo Pack) or DVD/UltraViolet Combo Pack will allow you to sign up to be notified when the movie is available for pre-order.
