Upcoming Pittsfield Township Events

Pittsfield Township has a number of special events for families/kids in the next few weeks. The events are listed in their event brochure.

Go Fly a Kite day is on Saturday, May 17 from 11a-1p at Montibeller park near the upper parking lot. Kids ages 10 and under will receive a FREE kite kit, or you can bring your own kite. Hopefully the weather will be clear (currently a 40% chance of rain on Saturday).

Saturday, June 7 is the 13th Annual Reel Fish & Fun Fishing Derby at Haven Lake in Lille Park ‘North’ from 10a-noon. The event is free and designed for kids ages 12 and under. The event is part of the DNR’s free fishing weekend. You need to bring your own bait.

The Second Annual Pee-Wee Olympics is on Sunday, June 8 from 11a-2p at Lille Park ‘South’. They will have event groups for kids ages 2-4 and ages 5-7. Kids will compete in Gymnastics, Shot Put (with tennis balls), Javelin Throw (pool noodles), and Track & Field Events. All participants will receive a ribbon, t-shirt, juice, and a snack.  Parents/caregivers must remain with their children. The event is $20 for Pittsfield Township Residents and $25 for others. Pre-registration is required before May 30.

Saturday, June 14 is Power Up Play Day Tennis from 9-10a at Montibeller Upper Tennis Courts. The event is designed for kids from age 4 through 13. Raquets and balls will be available. The event is designed for kids of all skill levels. Power Up Play Day Tennis costs $5.


After Dark in the Park will be held at Marsh View Meadows Park on Friday, June 20 at 8:15p with a guided hike followed by a nature snack. Families should bring flashlights. Glow bands will be provided. The event is $15/family for Pittsfield Township Residents and $20 for other families.

Lillie Park North is located at the corner of Platt & Ellsworth Rds (parking entrance on Platt Rd)
Lillie Park South is located at 4365 Platt Rd.
Marsh View Meadows Park is located at 300 E. Textile Rd
