Bubble Fest & More this Weekend at Ann Arbor Hands On Museum
The Ann Arbor Hands On Museum will be having their annual bubble festival on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8. The event includes performances by Ron Lloyd, the Bubble Man at 1 and 3p on both days. There will also be hands on activities from 10a-4p on Saturday and noon-4p on Sunday.
Our first trip to the Hands on Museum was in 2007 for Bubble Festival when my daughter was 18 months old. She was fascinated by bubbles at the time and the museum provided a nice escape from the rain that hit Taste of Ann Arbor that day. We have been members off and on since that time (I usually let the membership lapse for a few months before renewing it).
This is also a great time for families with toddlers and preschoolers to visit the museum. The recent expansion of the Preschool Gallery has been completed. They will also have a special Preschool Storytime on Saturday, June 7 at 10:30a. Story Time will be followed by an age-appropriate hands on science activity.
In addition, University of Michigan psychology researchers will be on hand for the Living Lab on the first floor (near the Block Party). Kids can participate in a fun, quick psychology study and will receive a gift for participating
