School’s Out/Father’s Day Weekend Roundup!

Today’s the last day of school for Ann Arbor Public Schools so summer activities will be kicking off this week. If you’re still looking for a summer camp, don’t forget to check out the Ann Arbor with Kids Summer Camp Guide sponsored by Ann Arbor Rec & EdPrecious Sprouts of Ann ArborUniversity of Michigan Museum of Natural History, and My Urban Toddler.

The last day of school traditionally marks the start of Top of the Park at Ann Arbor Summer Festival, and this year is no different. The KidZone activity tent will be staffed by Apple Playschools on Friday, Goldfish Swim School on Saturday, and UM Museum of Natural History on Sunday. Sunday will also feature Kids Rock with Dirty Sock Funtime Band and the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Other options for tonight are the Mayor’s Green Fair and Full Moon Paddle at Gallup Park.

Fun events for Saturday include Peachy Fitness’s Kids Day/Camp Open House at their new location, The LEGO Movie Building Event at Toys R Us, Making a Father’s Day Card at Malletts Creek Branch of AADL, Critters Up Close at Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, and Summer Reading Kickoff with Cirque Amongus at the Ypsilanti District Library.

Sunday is Father’s Day and starts with the Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast Event at Independence Lake. It also includes the first Sunday Kids Night at Top of the Park that concludes with a showing of Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone at Top of the Park.
