Summer AADL Events for Babies through Preschoolers

The library will continue both their Baby Playgroups (Ages 0-2) and Preschool Storytimes (ages 2-5). I know my daughter would get overwhelmed with the older kids everywhere we went in the summer, so it is nice to have the dedicated events for the younger kids.

Dancing Babies are sessions that combine music and movement for kids from birth to age 5. We attended several when my daughter was younger. There are several Dancing Babies sessions planned for the summer:

Sensations Stations is a one hour session for toddlers (18 months to 3 years) where they will have the opportunity to engage their senses by pouring, squishing, scooping and more.

On Saturday, June 28 all ages can head to the Downtown Library to learn how to make a video review and leave a review of their favorite library item at Lights, Camera, Action! Talk Up Your Favorite Library Item. The event is for those from preschool through adult and runs from 11a-4p. It will be repeated on Saturday, August 9 from 11a-4p.Pajama Jam will feature stories and songs with a storyteller and musician. Come in PJs with a stuffed animal or blanket. Pajama Jam is for preschoolers through 3rd graders and is on Friday, August 8 from 7-7:30p.

Other events include:

Note that some events have been relocated from their original location if they were being held in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Downtown Branch. The elevator at the Downtown Branch is in need of upgrades and repairs so the lower level has been closed during repairs. The repairs may required the entire Downtown Branch to be closed with short notice, so events may need to be relocated again. Your best bet is to verify events shortly before they open

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
