Beat the Heat Today
How are you beating the heat today? Fortunately the heat is just a one day occurrence this week, so it is very manageable.
With the heat, it is a great day to head to one of the pools or water parks in the area. We love Rolling Hills Water Park and have already visited once this year. We also really enjoyed Blue Heron Bay at Independence Lake when we visited last year. We definitely recommend either as a good choice to beat the heat today. The Ann Arbor Parks pools are also a good way to spend the day (Open Swim starts at 1p at all pools with Tot Splash starting at 11a at Fuller and noon at Buhr and Veterans and running until 1p at all pools).

Indoor activities are a great way to cool off on hot days.
We had a great time last weekend at the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum visiting their new H2Oh! exhibit and can’t wait to have a chance to return for the L is for Laser exhibit.

The Pittsfield Branch of Ann Arbor District Library is have a Jolly Paper Jellyfish craft event at 2p today for kids in grades K-5. My daughter really enjoyed when we attended Roller Coaster Engineering two weeks ago.
The play area at Briarwood Mall can also a fun, indoor activity for younger kids. We never got to use the new play area since my daughter was too big for it when it was added, but we scheduled various play dates at the old play area.
Other options to consider are indoor play areas and bounce houses. Xtreme Bounce Zone offers bouncing from 1p on Tuesdays and Thursdays (prior to 1p is Toddler Take Over just for kids 5 and under). Jungle Java, The Jungle Gym, and Chelsea Treehouse are all open for play today.
