Sing-A-Long The Wizard of Oz
Ann Arbor is certainly doing it’s part to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz this year. For the last few months, it seems like every time I turn around, I am sharing a Wizard of Oz event.
It all started with Young People’s Theater’s Performance of The Wizard of Oz in mid-May, then my daughter saw the national touring company’s performance at the Detroit Opera House, then it was at Top of the Park, and finally it was the dollar movie at Quality 16 last week.
The latest event is a Sing-A-Long The Wizard of Oz at The Michigan Theater on Sunday, July 27 at 1:30p or Tuesday, July 29 at 7p. Both showings will feature a costume parade, goodie bag, and on-screen lyrics.
The event is part of the Kerrytown Market & Shops Summer Classic Film Series and is sponsored in part by People’s Food Co-op. Tickets are $15/adults, $12 for children/students/seniors. Advance tickets can be purchased online.
My daughter and I attended a Michigan Theater Sing-A-Long of The Little Mermaid in 2012. We both really enjoyed it. She loved dressing in her costume, participating in the sing-a-long, and using the items from her goodie bag.
I definitely recommend The Sing-A-Long Wizard of Oz at Michigan Theater this weekend.
