The Super Run Ann Arbor: Signup and Giveaway
Ever since my husband introduced our daughter to Super Heroes she has been hooked. She is now as big of a fan of the Super Hero movies as we are. We are all counting down the days to the release of Guardians of the Galaxy – she is hoping to receive clearance to see the movie after we watch it first.
Disclaimer: In exchange for promoting the race, The Super Run has offered my daughter an I free race registration and a cape from SuperflyKids. All opinions are 100% my own.
The Super Run is a super hero themed race that is coming to Ann Arbor on Saturday, September 7. Day of registration will begin at 8a with activities starting at 8:30a, a kids 1K at 10a, and a 5K at 10:30a. The race will be held at Gallup Park. With my daughter’s love for super heroes, I know she will be thrilled to participate in The Super Run. Unfortunately, we are waiting on the soccer schedule before signing up since the race day is the first day of her soccer season.
The best part of The Super Run is that your registration includes a cape of your very own (plus a temporary tattoo and silicone bracelet)! Last fall we ran the Girls on the Run Super Hero 5K and my daughter wanted to wear a cape to run. It was a rainy day and we ran in our Disney rain ponchos, so I tried to convince her that the poncho was like a cape. She will be thrilled with a cape from this race.
The Super Run isn’t just a fun super hero themed race. It is a charitable race that supports a number of local charities. The primary charity is Lutheran Social Services with a portion of registrations going to support the cause. Other participating charities are: American Association for Cancer Research, Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, UMS, and World Animal Awareness Society. If you wish to have your charity represented at The Super Run, you can contact them for more details and to signup.
One of the event sponsors is Superfly Kids that makes customized capes for kids. With the customizable capes, your child can make a cape with their own Superhero logo by choosing the colors, logo shape, and letter.
Even if you can’t make The Super Run, your Super Hero loving child is sure to love their own Super Hero cape from Superfly Kids.
Registration for the kids 1K is $10 no matter when you register. The 5K registration is $20 before July 28, $25 from July 28 to the day prior to the event, and $30 on race day.
The Super Run is providing me with a registration and a cape from Superfly Kids to give away to one of my readers. Entry is via the Rafflecopter Giveaway below.
