Downtown Branch of AADL Closed Until Next Week

As I have shared before, the Ann Arbor District Library is continuing repairs on their elevator at the Downtown location this summer. Due to the currents stage of repairs, the Downtown Branch will be closed for an undetermined length of time beginning at 9p tonight (Wednesday, August 13). They are hoping to have the Downtown Branch open to the public again sometime next week.

Due to the branch closure, several events scheduled for the Downtown Branch this week and next week have been relocated or cancelled.

The Crazy Collage event from 7-8p on Thursday, August 14 for grades K-5 has been relocated to the Traverwood Branch.

Tuesday’s Hula Hoopla on Tuesday, August 19 (7-8p) has been moved from the Downtown Branch to the Malletts Creek Branch. Hula Hoopla is for grades 3-Adult.

Friday’s Artificial Intelligence workshop, Monday’s Redstone Engineering, and Computer Animation on Friday, August 22 with GameStart School have been cancelled.

Simple Circuits with Engineers (grades 3-5) on Sunday, August 17 has been cancelled.

Hello World: Command Line Programming for Thursday, August 21 has been cancelled.

The elevator repairs were needed after the elevator failed an inspection in May.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
