South Asian Parents Network of Ann Arbor Kick-off Event

Is your family originally from South Asia? The South Asian Parents Network of Ann Arbor (A2-SAPN) is forming to help connect local South Asian parents in Ann Arbor. They will be holding a kickoff event on Saturday, August 30th at West Park (215 Chapin St).

See their announcement below for more information:

Ever wondered where to take tabla lessons? How exactly to wear a sari? If there are other groups of families locally celebrating Eid or Diwali or Onam?

Then join South Asian Parents Network of Ann Arbor (A2-SAPN)! Based on a similar group successful in Chicago, we’re starting A2-SAPN to help local South Asian parents connect, share resources and attend social, cultural, and service events. We invite anyone interested in maintaining or strengthening their connection to the South Asian diaspora to join.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
