Very Crowded Frozen Event Tonight

Tonight my daughter and I attended the Frozen Friday event at Barnes & Noble Ann Arbor which began at 7p.

We arrived about 10 minutes before the event and were shocked to see how crowded it was. The event was held in the children’s section and we were barely able to enter the section. My daughter was able to find a seat in the crowd of kids while I headed to browse the chapter book selection. I did find a few book series to introduce her to. Unfortunately, I left her Barnes & Noble Gift Cards at home so we didn’t buy anything tonight.

Despite the crowd, they were well prepared. They started with a story and a sing along. They also had the movie playing after the sing along. There were plenty of craft supplies and they split the kids into groups to take to the craft stations in more manageable group sizes. My daughter worked on the coloring/activity sheet and then made a paper snowflake from a coffee filter. The coffee filters are a great choice to make snowflakes since they are already circular. She elected not to do the snow cloud craft, but there were still supplies available.

Barnes & Noble is holding Marvel Day tomorrow at 11a. I expect the crowds to be somewhat smaller. They are also having Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event on Monday at 11a.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
