Nicola’s Books September Activities

Nicola’s Books in Ann Arbor offers weekly story times for kids and many other kid-friendly activities.

The big kids event this month at Nicola’s is a visit from Michigan Author Deborah Diesen and Illustrator Dan Hanna with their new book The Pout-Pout Fish Goes to School. They will be visiting on Monday, September 15 at 7p.

Author and Illustrator Loren Long who wrote the best-selling Otis books will be visiting on Wednesday, September 17 at 7p to promote his latest book Otis and the Scarecrow.

Rikki the Reading Therapy Dog will be visiting Nicola’s Books again this week on Saturday, September 6 from 1:30-3:30p. Reading to an animal is a great option for developing readers who may be self-conscious reading to another person.

They will have a regular Saturday Storytime at 11a on Saturday, September 6th, 13th, and 27th. The September 20th Saturday Story Time will feature the Humane Society of Huron Valley and some of their adoptable animals.


For older kids, they
Tuesdays feature story time with Ieva Bates at 10a. Upcoming books include:

On Wednesday, September 24 at 10:30a they will hold Story Time with the Zoo featuring the Great Lakes Zoological Society. The story time will feature a story, craft, and live animals.
