September Story Times at Barnes & Noble Ann Arbor

The Ann Arbor location of Barnes & Noble holds story times most Saturdays at 11a. They have some fun story times planned for September.

September 13 they will be reading Where the Wild Things Are to celebrate 50 years of the classic.

September 20th is Curious Day with Curious George. I love Curious George and the mischief that he gets into. There will be stories, activities and giveaways.

At the September 27th story time, kids can meet Spot the Dog! as he joins the story time featuring his books.

In addition to the Saturday story times, they have two special events.

Friday, September 26 will feature The Elf on the Shelf: A Birthday Party event at 7p. Based on the crowds for the Frozen event, I suggest arriving a few minutes early. We started the Elf on the Shelf for Christmas last year after my mother-in-law sent one to my daughter. I am glad that the Elf is still on vacation from Christmas when my daughter’s birthday comes around.

Tuesday, September 30th is Don’t Let the Crayons Quit! Storytime. It is currently listed as 4a. I have contacted Barnes & Noble to get a clarification on the time and will update the event accordingly. Until then, I would guess 4p as the proper time.

Barnes & Noble Ann Arbor is located in Huron Village Shopping Center, 3235 Washtenaw Ave.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
