GameStart Offers Kids Arcade Night & Holiday Break Workshops

Over the summer my daughter loved attending the GameStart School workshops at the Ann Arbor District Library and learning a little more about Minecraft. Prior to the workshop, she only played Minecraft on her iPad. She now plays on the computer as well. After having fun at GameStart School’s Fall Kickoff, my daughter has decided that she likes playing Minecraft and watching YouTube videos about it, but does not like programming.
While she was very into Minecraft over the summer and still plays it on her iPad, she loves playing video games. The video game portion of GameStart School’s Fall Kickoff was easily her favorite.

GameStart Parents Night Out

The holiday season is always so busy with holiday activities, parties, last minute shopping, and other tasks like wrapping. I know we always spend a couple of nights after our daughter goes to bed wrapping her presents. GameStart School is offering Arcade Night on Friday, December 19 from 5-9p. Arcade Night is a Parents Night Out program where the kids will enjoy games and pizza. Not only will they get to play classic games on the projection screens, they will get to create their own arcade style game. Arcade Night is for kids in kindergarten and older. Kids Night costs $40/child. There is also an option available for late pickup. Pre-registration is required since space is limited. Use code A2WITHKIDS to save $5 on each registration.

My daughter loves Parents Night Out programs. She loves playing video games, so I know this event would be perfect for her!

GameStart Holiday Break Workshops

This holiday season GameStart is offering Holiday Break Workshops on Mondays and Tuesdays during winter break. One thing that I love about their workshops is that you can sign-up by the day instead of by the week. Between visiting family, traveling for the holidays, and work schedules the flexibility of being able to register for a daily workshop is very convenient
GameStart Holiday Break Workshops are for children in grades 3-8. Each day of camp runs from 9a-4p with before and after care available. Each workshop costs $129/student.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
