Summer Fun for Tuesday, July 28

It looks like today is going to be another scorcher. I’m not a fan of temperatures this high. Even my air conditioning has a hard time keeping up. Yesterday I shared Five Ways to Keep Cool in Ann Arbor. Be sure to check it out if you missed it yesterday.

5 Ways to Keep Cool in Ann Arbor

Even with the heat, there are some great events today. I’ve highlighted a couple of indoor activities.

Appropriately Rave Cinemas is showing Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days as their Summer Movie Clubhouse movie.

Pittsfield Branch of AADL will have Theatrical Stunts with Dave Melcher at 2p. Sounds fun! I would plan to arrive early so that you can park in the Pittsfield library lot. I wouldn’t want to walk from the overflow parking at the Ice Cube in this heat…hmm, a trip to the Ice Cube might be a good way to cool off. Too bad my daughter hates skating.

Don’t miss tonights Get Pop-Cultured: Dr. Seuss’s – What Pet Should I Get? The event will wrap-up their Get Pop-Cultured series. While there, why not check out their summer reading program. My daughter filled out 8 books and was able to select a free book last week.

Ann Arbor with Kids is your go-to source for Ann Arbor Family Fun. It got its start in an activity list that I was compiling for the playgroup I ran at our church. When my daughter started preschool, the other moms were thrilled to hear about my list. I decided to take the list public in 2009.
