Introducing Kidopolis: A New Indoor Play Place

Disclosure: Kidopolis has sponsored this post. All opinions are my own.

Kidopolis is a new indoor play space featuring 8 themed play rooms where kids can explore different parts of a city.  The themed rooms include fire & police departments, space shuttle, the beach, a theater, and an enchanted fairy forest. With the diverse rooms, there should be something that interests all kids. They opened on Saturday, February 6, 2016.

Arbor Annie Visits Kidopolis

Last week Arbor Annie and I visited Kidopolis to explore the new play place and report back. There is so much to do at Kidopolis! Check out all the fun that Arbor Annie had in the video below:

At my daughter’s preschool one of the favorite activities each year was the creation of a space ship. The kids loved climbing in. I’m sure that the Space Shuttle at Kidopolis with all of the controls will be a big hit among preschoolers.

At the Beach, kids can don a life-jacket and climb in the boat and head for their own adventure. Then they can head to the sand lot and dig for buried treasure.

The Enchanted Forest is filled with fairies. It also offers some down time with coloring sheets for the kids.

I loved the way that the fire department included a hose for the kids to practice fighting fires.

When Arbor Annie and I perused the costumes for the theater, we both fell in love with the T-Rex costume! She immediately put the costume on and headed to the stage for her performance.

Of course there is a traditional home play space with a kitchen and a nursery. There are even Thomas trains!

Plan Your Kidopolis Visit

Kidopolis is located at 509 State Circle (Just south of I-94 off of State St). Their hours change seasonally, so check their website for current hours check their website for current hours.

Current (April 2017) admission rates are $8/child with admission for a second child at $5. Non-walkers with siblings are free, or $5 with just a parent. Discounts are available for single parents, children in foster care, playgroups, and field trips.

You can bring your own (nut-free) snacks and drinks to Kidopolis, but they need to be eaten in the snack area and not in the play area. I like being able to bring my own snacks since I am able to pack the snacks that my daughter likes. Plus, it is always nice not to have to add the additional cost of snacks to an outing.

Based on my visit, I would recommend Kidopolis for kids from toddlers through early elementary school.

Birthday Parties

Since my visit last week, Kidopolis has opened their party room. They offer birthday party packages. Party prices start at $149 for up to 10 children.
