Arbor Annie’s Picks this Week – March 15-18

Arbor Annie doesn’t typically write a weekday roundup during the school year, but there are so many special events on the calendar this week, that she wanted to highlight a few of them.

Arbor Annie’s Picks for this Week

Of course all of the regular weekly events like story times, skating, swimming, and more continue this week. They can be found on our Events Calendar.

Special Celebrations

Pi Day

Today, Monday is Pi Day. Are you celebrating with Pie? I should have planned ahead to have a pie for dinner instead of leftovers from last night.

Free Cone Day

Tuesday, is Dairy Queen’s National Free Cone Day. Stop by any of our local Ann Arbor Dairy Queen locations for a free cone.

NCAA Tournament

Tuesday is also the start of the NCAA Tournament with two of the First Four play-in games. Michigan plays in the second set of First Four games on Wednesday. Unfortunately their game starts at 9:10p after most kids will be asleep. We will be completing our brackets tonight before the games start tomorrow. I’m hoping this is finally my year to win the family trophy.

Beyond the Calendar

While the calendar lists specific events, there are plenty of fun events, particularly with the warm spring like weather.

After Sunday’s rain and overcast weather today, our Mess-Free Playground Guide is a good place to start. We thought of visiting a few more playgrounds today after school, but it was sprinkling on and off, so we decided to pass. I’m hoping to visit a number of playgrounds this year and have a full playground guide available.

Other Fun Content

Plus, don’t miss our giveaway for Pinkalicious The Musical Tickets.
