EMU’s Community Music Academy Classes Start This Weekend
When my daughter was a toddler she and a friend took classes at EMU’s Community Music Academy. She always enjoyed the classes, particularly attending with a friend. I loved the small class size. When she hit preschool age, we were no longer able to continue the classes due to our schedule. However, I do recommend checking them out.
Classes for Spring 2016 will be starting this weekend. There is still plenty of time to register. Check out their announcement below for all the details:
EMU’s Community Music Academy announces its Spring 2016 session of early childhood music classes! These classes will immerse young children (ages birth through 5 years) in a rich musical environment and provide a variety of experiences designed to expand musical understanding and skills in an active and playful way. Class activities include singing and chanting, moving to music (including use of props such as bean bags, scarves, and streamers), playing assorted small percussion instruments, pattern instruction, and imaginative musical play. Classes begin May 7 and run through June 20. Cost is $85 for 6 weeks. For a listing of class times and online registration form, see website: http://www.emich.edu/musicdance/music/cma/index.php. Questions may be directed to Heather Shouldice, program director, via email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
You can also see the details in their flyer.
