Dining Options This Week
Not a fan of cooking? You’re in luck. When I looked at the events calendar for Sunday, I saw several food related events scheduled – Airport Pancake Breakfast, Grillin’, Greek Festival, Restaurant Week, and Top of the Park. I decided to summarize them all in one place. Restaurant Week and Top of the Park continue past Sunday, so you don’t have to try to fit everything in one day.
Sunday Dining Events
Ann Arbor Airport Pancake Breakfast
Sunday kicks off with the Ann Arbor Airport Pancake Breakfast. Pancakes, sausage, and a chance to see the planes up close. There are also family fun activities. In the past my daughter has enjoyed the bounce house, face painting, tattoos, and pedal planes.
Ya’ssoo Greek Festival
The Ya’ssoo Greek Festival wraps up on Sunday. They’ll be open from noon-6p on Sunday with Greek food, desserts, and entertainment. (They’re open until midnight on Saturday.)
Grillin’ for Food Gatherers
Grillin’ for Food Gatherers is Sunday afternoon at the Washtenaw Farm Council Fairgrounds from 3-8p. In addition to delicious food, there will be music and family activities. The event helps Food Gatherers to provide food to local families in need.
Kids Eat Free
Be sure to check our Kids Eat Free Guide for locations that offer Kids Eat Free. Sunday locations offering Kids Eat Free include Maiz Cantina, Bagger Dave’s, and Mac’s Acadian Seafood. Several of the restaurants with Kids Eat Free deals later in the week are also participating in Restaurant Week. I do not know if you will be able to combine the deals.
Dining Options This Week
In addition to the above events which only run through Sunday, there are several other options for dining Sunday that last all week or beyond.
Ann Arbor Restaurant Week
Ann Arbor Restaurant Week kicks off on Sunday. With $15 lunches (2 courses) and $28 dinners (3 courses), it’s a great time to try new restaurants. Some restaurants offer 2/$15 and/or 2/$28 deals. One of our favorites is Neopapalis which offers 3 specialty pizzas & 3 drinks for $28. That’s perfect for our family of 3 to each have a pizza of our choice and take home enough for lunch the next day.
Top of the Park Culinary Row
Head to campus for Culinary Row at Top of the Park. We had dinner there on Friday night. We each enjoyed Pulled Pork from Slow’s food truck. The menu was abbreviated from what is on the Summer Festival’s website. I don’t know if they’ll be rotating items, or will have the same items each day. Other options include Noodles & Company, Chela’s, Pizza House, Hut-K Chaats, and Oasis Grill.
