This morning I was invited to the grand re-opening VIP celebration for the McDonalds on Lohr Road.
After buying the restaurant in August 2015, owner Monique Vann-Brown undertook a remodeling project this spring. The lobby and restaurant seating was opened up and outlets were added for guests working on their devices.
McDonalds Play Area Remodeling
The play area was re-designed with input from local parents who asked for active play activities.
The previous play area was torn down and replaced with a new, taller play area. With many indoor play areas disappearing, this is a great indoor option for days when outdoor playgrounds aren’t optimal – or as a parent you want access to Wi-Fi.
The Play Area also includes two tablet computers. These offer games – and not just for the kids. There are word and trivia games that even the adults will appreciate.
In addition to the new play structure, the seating in the area has been replaced. There are 3 fixed booths and several movable tables/chairs.
Grand Opening Celebration
As part of the Grand Opening Celebration, a donation was presented to the Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor.
Also present at the Grand Reopening, were representatives from Pittsfield Township and Congresswoman Debbie Dingell’s office, other McDonalds franchise owners, and staff.
