Each week Ann Arbor with Kids is profiling a different playground in the Ann Arbor area including Ann Arbor, Saline, Ypsilanti, Dexter, etc. Today we are profiling the Candy Cane Park playground in Ypsilanti. With the heat this week, the promise of a “winter” name was quite alluring.

Candy Cane Park Playground Review

The playground at Candy Cane Park is a great diversion for kids with siblings playing in a baseball game or practice. The playground is set safely back from the street. Unfortunately there is no path to the playground, so I advise leaving strollers or wagons in the car.

The playground offers both a tube slide and a low, wide slide. The wide slide is great for toddlers. My daughter enjoyed the climbing tunnel and the climbing bars.

Candy Cane Park - Wide Slide

Usually, she loves zip lines, but this one was too short for her. It was also slow moving and screeched a bit. I think it needs a bit of grease.
