Parks to Avoid – 2018 Ann Arbor Deer Cull

The 2018 Ann Arbor Deer cull starts this week in local parks, nature areas, and other properties. Parks will be closed from 3p-midngiht daily. Please be aware of these activities for visiting playgrounds, sledding, and going for walks with your kids or dogs.

2018 Ann Arbor Deer Cull Park Closures

The designated areas can be found on the City of Ann Arbor website.

The Nichols Arboretum has selected closures:

  • January 11 4-9p
  • January 16 3p-midnight
  • January 19 4-9p
  • January 23 3p-midnight.

The parks below are closed every day from 3p-midnight. Since the closures start at 3p each day, be careful walking home from school if your route takes you near these areas.

  • Leslie Woods Nature Area
  • Olson Park – Note Dog Park & Parking Lot remain open
  • Sugarbush Park
  • Arbor Hills Nature Area
  • Barton Nature Area
  • Bird Hills Nature Area
  • Foxfire West Nature Area
  • Galzier Hill Nature Area
  • Huron Parkway/Braun Nature Areas
  • Nature Gauge Way Nature Area
  • Oakridge Nature Area
  • Oakwoods Nature Area
  • South Pond Nature Area
  • Stapp Nature Area
  • Traver Creek Nature Area
